Senior Advisor

Marco Ramirez serves as Senior Advisor at Alliance for a Better Community (ABC). He is a nonprofit executive and management consultant with 25 years of experience guiding community development, affordable housing, and organizational transformation initiatives. In his role, Marco supports ABC in developing sustainable, integrated service delivery models and strategic growth pathways.

As the Principal of Ripple Method ConsultingWorks LLC, Marco leverages a practitioner-scholar approach, combining academic insights with collaborative operational leadership to help social sector organizations build sustainable, data-informed strategies. He specializes in guiding complex organizations through periods of transition, fiscal constraint, and strategic growth.

Among his current assignments, he is consulting for the City of Los Angeles’ Community Investment for Families Department, where he is helping facilitate the cultural and operational consolidation of four municipal departments and establish the Office of Community Wealth and Empowerment.

His previous executive tenures include serving as Vice President of Impact and Community Strategy at Linc Housing, where he spearheaded a Workforce Equity Initiative and secured a $1.5 million federal YouthBuild grant. As Director of Community Building at Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation, he managed a departmental merger while ensuring continuous service for 1,200 affordable homes. At BRIDGE Housing Corporation, Marco played a key role in the Jordan Downs public housing transformation in Watts, co-designing solutions with the community to help secure $68 million in federal and state grants and founding Jordan Downs Forward to exceed targeted hiring and local procurement targets.

Committed to capacity-building across sectors, Marco brings a practical understanding of governance to his work. His past board leadership includes serving as Board Chair for LA Más and as a Mayoral Appointee to the City of Los Angeles Human Relations Commission.

A dedicated educator and proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Marco continues his public service by serving on the advisory committees for USC’s Neighborhood Data for Social Change and the State of California’s No Place Like Home Program (Assembly Speaker appointee). He holds a Doctorate in Policy, Planning, and Development from the University of Southern California (USC), an Executive Master of Organizational Leadership and Management, and a Certificate in Public Management.
