What is the Fuerza Fund?
Fuerza Fund, led by Alliance for a Better Community (ABC), directs funding to Latina/o-led and serving organizations in Los Angeles. Acknowledging the essential role these chronically underfunded organizations play in driving lasting change, the Fuerza Fund invests in their long- term strength by supporting rapid response in times of crisis, recovery as communities rebuild, and sustained resilience over time.
RESPONSE: Rapid, flexible resources for families navigating urgent crises, from immigration raids to natural disasters.
RECOVERY: Sustained investment to stabilize families, strengthen coalitions, and rebuild community infrastructure.
RESILIENCE: Long-term support for Latino-led and serving organizations to address the underlying causes of inequity: grow capacity, leadership, and build civic power.
Proven Impact
Since January 2025, the Fuerza Fund has mobilized over $1 million, stress-tested through wildfires, immigration raids, and ongoing community need. Over the past three years, ABC has awarded over $847K in sub-grants to organizations working on digital equity, civic engagement, narrative change, wildfire relief, and mutual aid. These investments reflect a commitment to strengthening the organizational capacity our partners need to build lasting community resilience.
