Stephanie serves as the Senior Communications and Policy Coordinator for Alliance for a Better Community and is responsible for developing and implementing a narrative change initiative impacting multilingual learners and college students in Los Angeles County and represents ABC in multiple coalitions and as Co-Chair of the Consortium for Multilingual Learner Success.
Before joining ABC, Stephanie worked for a community based organization focused on building and nurturing partnerships with public schools across Central and South Los Angeles to expand access to mental health services and resources during the pandemic. While pursuing her graduate studies, she conducted research on developmentally appropriate, child-friendly practices for unaccompanied migrant children navigating immigration court proceedings. Working alongside a team students, the research informed policy recommendations designed to improve the experiences of children facing the complexities of the immigration system.
Stephanie is passionate about uplifting community voices and ensuring that people’s lived experiences shape policy solutions.
A proud Los Angeles native and first-generation college graduate, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Affairs and a Master of Public Policy from UCLA. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her Goldendoodle, Honey, visiting flea markets, and trying new coffee shops.
