Fuerza Fund

Supporting Wildfire-Impacted Families and Workers

The wildfires have severely disrupted the livelihoods of essential workers in our community, including caregivers, housekeepers, landscapers, and hourly and part-time service workers serving homes and businesses in the Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Pasadena, Altadena, Topanga Canyon, Studio City, Hollywood Hills, and other areas impacted by the devastating Los Angeles County fires.

We are proud to announce the launch of the Fuerza Fund, a dedicated initiative created to support and strengthen our community during times of crisis. The Fuerza Fund will provide essential resources to help those affected by the devastating Los Angeles County wildfires by providing immediate and direct emergency cash assistance to workers and unique households impacted by the wildfires, ensuring no one is left behind.

To apply for the Fuerza Fund cash assistance program for families and workers impacted by wildfires, please click the button below to schedule an appointment with a resource navigator. Available appointment slots are limited and are added weekly. While we strive to help everyone in need, please note that submitting an application does not guarantee assistance. If no appointments are currently available, we encourage you to check back next week.

Workers and their families are the backbone of our community, contributing to its vitality and resilience. Without immediate support, their recovery will be long and uncertain.

Unique Households

Impacted workers frequently come from mixed legal status families, have multiple generations living in one household, and/or heavily rely on the income of multiple family members to meet basic needs. Any instability to household income puts these families at high risk of falling further into poverty. Additional challenges our families are facing further exacerbate their vulnerability: health impacts due to air and water quality, the threat of mass deportations, and educational disruptions, which can cause significant setbacks in a community and society. When these systems are interrupted, it can take generations to rebuild the intellectual and social capital necessary for progress.

Immediate Relief

For Workers and Families

We are focused on providing direct, tangible support to those impacted by the wildfires with flexible, cash-based assistance for the following:

  • Emergency Stipends: Helping workers and families purchase essential needs such as food, clothing, and lodging/housing, transportation, utilities, and other critical needs during this crisis.
  • Gift Cards for Essentials: For those without bank accounts, ensuring immediate access to groceries, food delivery, and other necessities.
