Latino/a Heritage Month Celebration

Our community came together for our Latino/a Heritage Month celebration that honored individuals and organizations that have left an indelible mark on our community including, Gloria Molina, Monica Garcia, Asm. Wendy Carrillo, and SEIU Local 99. We were delighted to have LA Unified School Board Members Kelly Gonez and Tanya Ortiz Franklin in conversation with ABC’s Executive Director, Vanessa Aramayo, discussing the district’s approach to supporting the Latino/a community in Los Angeles. This enlightening conversation shed light on the initiatives, partnerships, and collaborative efforts shaping the future of education and equity in our city.
