Policy & Advocacy Coordinator

From a young age, Luis has held an interest in advocacy and government and started his journey at an environmental justice organization that focused on a variety of issues including but not limited to, worker rights, environmental issues, Lithium Valley, and the Salton Sea. 

Prior to joining ABC, Luis worked at Audubon CA, where he played a key role as a campaign organizer in garnering support for the Chuckwalla National Monument in Imperial County. His passion for an equitable and just society brought him to ABC, where he can advocate for Latina/o communities. 

Outside of work, Luis enjoys exploring new cuisines, following soccer matches, and periodically going on road trips. 

Luis was born in Mexicali, BC and was raised in Imperial County. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from California State University San Marcos.
