DESCRIPTION:Creating a space for Latino leaders to connect and build. \n\n\n\nYou are warmly invited to “Nuestro Nido” — Our Nest — an intentional space crafted for a select group of Latina/o philanthropic\, nonprofit\, and civic leaders to gather\, connect\, and learn more about each other.   \n\n\n\nWe know that when our community comes together with purpose and joy\, powerful things happen — including opening new pathways for our organizations to access the resources they deserve.  \n\n\n\nThis intimate two-hour reception is designed not for presentations or agendas\, but for the kind of authentic conversation\, and mingling\, that seeds lasting partnerships. We have brought together this particular group because we believe the connections made in this room can strengthen our collective impact for years to come.  \n\n\n\nJoin Alliance for a Better Community\, LA Local\, Unseen\, and partners following the Hispanics in Philanthropy Annual Conference for an evening connection with Latino leaders across sectors.

SUMMARY:2026 College For All Advocacy Day
DESCRIPTION:Each June\, the College for All Coalition hosts its annual Advocacy Day\, bringing together students\, parents\, educators\, advocates\, and community members from across California to advocate for themselves and the coalition’s legislative priorities. \n\n\n\nAdvocacy Day provides participants with the opportunity to meet directly with legislators and legislative staff\, share personal experiences\, and advocate for policies that expand access\, affordability\, and equity in higher education. Through collective action and community-led advocacy\, participants help uplift the voices of students and families most impacted by barriers to educational opportunity.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nParticipants will engage in:\n\n\n\n\nMeetings with elected officials and legislative staff\n\n\n\nCoalition networking opportunities\n\n\n\nStudent and community storytelling\n\n\n\nOpportunities to strengthen statewide advocacy efforts\n\n\n\n\nThrough Advocacy Day\, the College For All Coalition will continue to build power to ensure all California students have access to the resources and support they need to succeed in higher education. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRSVP\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOrganizational Contributions \n\n\n\n\n$250 contribution for organizations with annual budgets under $500\,000\n\n\n\n$500 contribution for organizations with annual budgets of $500\,000 or higher\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFor more information: \n\n\n\n\nErika Cervantes\, erika@afabc.org\n\n\n\nLuis Lopez\, luislopez@afabc.org
